More than 170 species of reptiles have been recorded in the Arabian Peninsula, belonging to the order Squamata, related to three suborders Sauria, Ophidia and Amphisbaenia. Species Acanthocercus adramitanus (ANDERSON, 1896) belongs to the family Agamidae. These kinds of lizards (Agamids) are a diverse old world family of diurnal lizards.
