Snakes (Ophidia)

Snakes are of the Suborder Ophidia (Serpentes). There are approximately 3510 known species of snakes in the world. About more than 40 species were recorded in Arabia belonging to the families: Boidae, Colubridae, Elapidae, Lamprophiidae, Leptotyphlopidae, Typhlopidae and Viperidae.
